My Forever Love

I wrote this poem about the most beautiful love I have experienced in my life.

My Forever Love

Love, i have found you and lost you
and found you again
the moments when you filled my heart
i counted myself as blessed

what a treasure a simple gesture can be
when a man takes your hand in his
without saying a word
and you just walk together
and you are filled with a sense of being filled
to the brim with joy a joy so pure
it almost breaks your heart
with its breath-taking simplicity

The love which is the purest love
when you give and give and give all of yourself
and someone gives you
the gift of receiving your love
with no judgements
with no valuation
just with acceptance
and quiet being

How to measure such a moment?
How to treasure such a moment?

The only thing to do is to go
run with it and savour it
and taste it until the very last drop
because who knows if we will have tomorrow
who knows what will happen
when life can turn on a dime
and there are no answers

So love
i thank you for coming into my life
for the gift of the priceless treasure
thank you for taking my heart and my breath away
and for filling me with your pure white bright light
